The following describes the eligibility requirements for the Mason Peace Corps Prep program:
Students who have completed at least one semester at Mason and are in good standing are eligible to apply. All majors are encouraged to apply.
U.S. citizenship is not a requirement of the Mason PCP. All students, regardless of citizenship status, may participate in the Mason Peace Corps Prep program and will receive a Certificate of Completion from the Peace Corps. However, individuals must hold U.S. citizenship to apply to serve as Peace Corps Volunteers after graduation.
Applications will be reviewed by the Program Coordinator in consultation with academic advisors and Peace Corps Prep program partners across campus as necessary. Applicants will be accepted if they are able to present a feasible plan to meet Peace Corps Prep program requirements before graduation and are able to clearly articulate their interest in the mission of Peace Corps.
